Pleasanton, TX—Today, U.S. Representative Henry Cuellar (TX-28) announced that the Pleasanton Municipal Airport will receive $600,000 in federal funding for the construction of a new fuel farm to replace the airport’s current, outdated fuel system. The new fuel farm, consisting of two 10,000-gallon tanks and a new JET A fuel tank, will provide a better delivery system and added capacity to service more aircraft. The farm will also offer a self-serve system that can be utilized for helicopters.

The total cost of the project is $800,000 with the City of Pleasanton providing a $200,000 match.

“In Congress, I have always fought to create funding opportunities that support infrastructure that is vital to the economic growth of a city,” said Congressman Cuellar. “Increasing the Pleasanton Municipal Airport’s capacity to service more aircraft will raise the airport’s revenues and consequently provide more economic opportunities for the City of Pleasanton and the surrounding areas. I want to thank the Mayor of Pleasanton, Clinton Powell, and the Pleasanton City Council for his leadership to utilize federal funding opportunities that promote growth and economic stability for his city.”

The Pleasanton Municipal Airport will receive approximately $795,000 in federal funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Additionally, the airport received a $1,061,000 federal loan from the U.S Department of Agriculture for the construction of two hangars.
